GOOD STUFF TO KNow when planning your visit

Worship Services

Whether you're Lutheran, Episcopalian or just seeking a faith community that will feed your soul, one of the best ways to get to know us is to worship with us. We celebrate the Holy Eucharist Sunday mornings at 8:30 a.m. service (spoken word) approximately 45 minutes and 10:00 a.m. service (music & hymns) approximately 75 minutes. During the summer months of July and August, we adapt to only one service at 9:00 a.m. (music & hymns).  All services are reflective and include scripture readings, prayers and a homily. Please join us for light refreshments and fellowship after the 10:00 a.m. (9:00 a.m. summer) service.

What to Expect

Attire – Come as you are and what you feel comfortable in.

Greeters – Ushers will be right inside the nave to say hello and provide you with a worship service leaflet of the hymns, scripture readings, and prayers for the day. Ushers will also assist in facilitating the congregation during communion.

The Offering – If you are a visitor, you are our guest!  Please don’t feel obligated to place money in the offering plate.

Receiving Communion

You don't need to be Lutheran or Episcopalian to receive Communion. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive. You may stand or kneel at the altar. The Communion wafer is received in the palm of your hand after intinction in the wine chalice. Gluten-free wafers are available. If you choose not to receive communion, you may remain seated or come up to the altar rail and receive a blessing instead. Just cross your arms over your chest to signify a blessing only. For those with limited mobility, stay seated and Pastor Martha will come to you.

Children's Activities

We have a children's area in the nave furnished with kid-sized table & chairs, a comfortable rug, and activities related to fit the theme of the day.  This welcoming space for families with young children allows parents and children alike to interact and worship together. During the school year (September through June), an abbreviated Sunday School is held during worship once a month; on another Sunday each month, a children's message is offered.
